Payment and checkout

What we accept, when the money leaves your account, and why we never see your card number.
What we accept
Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus PayPal, Afterpay and Zip. The marks shown on the product page and at checkout are the current list.
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Delivery is calculated and shown separately before you pay, and the figure you see is the figure charged.
When payment is taken
Payment is taken in full when the order is placed, unless the product page states a different arrangement.
Placing an order is an offer to buy, and the contract forms when we send the order confirmation. If we cannot accept an order — an item is unavailable, a price was wrong, or we cannot deliver to the address — you are refunded in full.
Some banks briefly show a pending authorisation as well as the charge. That is the bank holding funds, not a second payment, and it clears on its own within a few business days.
Card security
We never see or store your full card number. Card details go straight from your browser to our payment providers over an encrypted connection, and those providers are PCI DSS certified to handle them.
That is what the secure-checkout mark means on our product pages: not a badge we awarded ourselves, but the fact that the people taking the payment are certified to take it and we are deliberately kept out of the way.
We will never ask for card details by email or over the phone. If you get a message claiming to be us and asking for them, it is not us — forward it to hello@walnur.com.au.
Paying in instalments
Afterpay and Zip split an order into instalments. That is an agreement between you and them, under their terms and their approval, and the instalment figure shown on a product page is an estimate of the schedule they will set.
We are paid in full at the time of the order either way, so an instalment plan does not change delivery, returns or warranty. Late fees, eligibility and credit checks are theirs — read their terms before committing.
Order-value limits apply, which is why the instalment line does not appear on every product.
If something goes wrong
If a payment fails, nothing is charged and no order is created. The most common causes are an expired card, an address that does not match the one on file, or a bank declining an unusually large purchase — a call to your bank usually clears it.
If you think you have been charged twice, email us with the order number and the two amounts. We will check it and refund any duplicate the same day we confirm it.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card refunds usually appear within five business days; instalment providers set their own timing.
